Commercial Construction Superintendent – Healthcare Projects
Location: Reno, NV
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead healthcare construction projects for a growing general contractor in the Reno area. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a proven track record in commercial healthcare construction, strong team management skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Supervise subcontractors, craft labor, and field personnel to maintain productivity and compliance with project plans.
Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe jobsite in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners to ensure smooth project execution.
Review and manage project plans, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and reporting to stakeholders.
Manage material deliveries, equipment usage, and field logistics to optimize efficiency.
Identify and resolve on-site issues, providing solutions to keep projects on track.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial projects, preferably healthcare-focused.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and regulations for healthcare facilities.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.
Experience supervising subcontractors and managing field teams.
OSHA certification required; additional healthcare or safety certifications a plus.
