Mechanical Engineer – Design Build Mechanical Contractor

Location: St. Louis
Compensation: $110K – $160K Base + Full Benefits Package

About the Opportunity

We are partnered with a growing Design-Build Mechanical Contractor in the St. Louis market seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects. This organization specializes in Data Centers, Food & Beverage, Government, Industrial, and Multifamily construction with projects ranging from $20M to $100M+.

This role offers exposure to complex HVAC, process piping, refrigeration, and controls systems while working closely with operations, BIM, and project management teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate mechanical systems for large commercial and industrial projects
• Support HVAC, process piping, refrigeration, and controls scopes
• Collaborate with Project Managers, BIM teams, and field operations
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and system layouts
• Assist with design-build engineering efforts and value engineering
• Participate in project planning, coordination meetings, and client discussions
• Support retrofit, upgrade, and new construction projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience within construction
• Experience working for a Mechanical Contractor or Design-Build firm preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD
• Data Center, Food & Beverage, Industrial, or Mission Critical experience preferred
• Strong communication and coordination skills
