Electrical Project Manager (Commercial & Industrial)

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing project financials, schedules, field coordination, subcontractors, client relationships, and overall project execution while ensuring safety, quality, and profitability goals are achieved.
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing complex electrical projects including manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, data centers, healthcare, institutional, tenant improvement, and large commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of electrical construction projects from kickoff through completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and manpower plans
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and field teams
- Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong client communication throughout project lifecycle
- Monitor project costs, change orders, billing, and overall profitability
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and company policies
- Support procurement efforts and oversee material/equipment deliveries
- Collaborate with field leadership to ensure successful execution and labor productivity
- Mentor assistant project managers and project engineers as needed
- Identify and resolve project risks proactively
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience managing commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and project delivery processes
- Experience managing projects ranging from $2M–$50M+
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Strong financial management and cost control experience
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, or similar platforms preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Electrical field experience or apprenticeship background is a plus
