Construction Superintendent – Multifamily Construction

Location: Reno
Compensation: $110,000 – $135,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up multifamily construction projects in the Reno market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing large-scale apartment, mixed-use, or podium-style developments and will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive schedules, maintain quality standards, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily field operations for multifamily construction projects
  • Manage project schedules and coordinate all subcontractor activities
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and local building codes
  • Conduct site meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards across all jobsite activities
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to track budgets, schedules, and procurement needs
  • Identify and proactively resolve field issues and construction conflicts
  • Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates
  • Lead and mentor field staff, assistant superintendents, and trade partners

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Superintendent experience in ground-up multifamily construction
  • Experience managing projects ranging from 100+ units preferred
  • Strong knowledge of wood-frame, podium, and/or wrap-style multifamily construction
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proven ability to manage schedules and subcontractor performance
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Stable work history with reputable general contractors or developers

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with large-scale apartment communities, mixed-use developments, or hospitality projects
  • Knowledge of Nevada building codes and inspection processes
  • Experience delivering projects on aggressive schedules while maintaining quality standards
