Electrical Superintendent (Commercial Construction)

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas
Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 Base Salary (DOE) + Bonus + Benefits

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth market. This role is responsible for overseeing all electrical installation activities, managing field personnel, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive commercial electrical construction experience, strong scheduling and coordination skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects ranging from office buildings and healthcare facilities to data centers, industrial facilities, mixed-use developments, educational institutions, and large-scale commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all on-site electrical construction activities from project start-up through completion.
  • Manage and coordinate electrical foremen, journeymen, apprentices, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Develop and execute project work plans that align with project schedules and milestones.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, General Contractors, Owners, Engineers, and Inspectors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct daily site walks to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and progress.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate manpower planning, material procurement, equipment needs, and workforce productivity.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, design discrepancies, and constructability issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC requirements, local codes, and project specifications.
  • Lead weekly planning meetings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
  • Track production goals and provide regular progress updates to project leadership.
  • Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and manpower logs.
  • Support project closeout activities, commissioning efforts, punch list completion, and turnover.

Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years of electrical construction experience, including commercial projects.
  • 3+ years in a Superintendent or Senior Foreman leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, and industry safety standards.
  • Experience with scheduling and coordination in active construction environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the DFW area.

Preferred

  • Experience on large-scale commercial projects exceeding $10M in electrical scope.
  • Experience with healthcare, mission-critical, industrial, data center, aviation, or higher education projects.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
  • Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
