We are partnered with a well-established electrical contractor that is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical projects throughout the Minneapolis market.
This role is responsible for managing electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and field oversight. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial electrical construction and experience delivering projects across a variety of market sectors including healthcare, education, government, and industrial environments.
Responsibilities
• Manage electrical construction projects from initiation through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and cost control for multiple concurrent projects
• Coordinate field operations with foremen, superintendents, and subcontractors
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Lead project meetings with clients, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams
• Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Track progress, resolve field issues, and proactively manage risk and change orders
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project execution
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction project management with a general or electrical contractor
• Experience managing commercial electrical projects across multiple sectors
• Strong background in healthcare, medical facilities, K-12, higher education, government, office, manufacturing, or life sciences preferred
• Proven ability to manage projects with budgets of $1M+
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction documents, and field coordination
• Experience with project scheduling, estimating, cost tracking, and change management
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
• Healthcare and/or mission-critical electrical construction experience
• Large institutional or public sector project experience
• Experience working in occupied facilities or complex phasing environments
• Familiarity with design-build and plan/spec delivery methods
