Construction Scheduler – Mechanical Projects
We are seeking a skilled Scheduler to coordinate and oversee the scheduling of large-scale mechanical construction efforts across various industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, and data center facilities. In this key role, you will develop detailed project timelines, monitor progress, and ensure that all phases—such as HVAC, piping, and industrial systems—are completed on time and within scope.
Your expertise will help streamline project workflows by identifying potential scheduling challenges early, coordinating resources efficiently, and collaborating closely with project teams, unions, and clients. Core Skills and Qualifications:
- Expertise with Primavera P6 for constructing resource-loaded schedules
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems like HVAC, plumbing, and piping
- Experience in assessing schedule viability and conducting constructability reviews
- Ability to plan labor needs and analyze workforce productivity
- Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with BIM systems and incorporating prefabrication into schedules
- Familiarity with earned value management techniques
- Background working within union environments and respecting jurisdictional rules
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar technical drawing software
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
- Over 7 years managing schedules for large mechanical projects valued at over $10 million
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, demonstrated through sample schedules or portfolios
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project teams and stakeholders
- Willingness to participate in schedule reviews and provide training to supervision teams
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
