Location: Spokane, WA
Salary: $105,000–$175,000 DOE

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent – Special Projects to join its growing team in Spokane, Washington. This is a high-priority opportunity for a construction professional with a strong background in healthcare renovations and small projects within occupied hospital and medical environments.

This role is ideal for a superintendent who thrives in fast-paced, client-focused environments and has experience delivering complex projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, and daily field operations.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, project managers, design teams, and trade partners.
  • Oversee multiple healthcare special projects ranging from $1M–$5M.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent construction experience.
  • 5–10 years of journeyman-level craft experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial General Construction Superintendent.
  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects independently.
  • Healthcare construction experience is strongly preferred, particularly projects in occupied hospitals or medical facilities.
  • Experience in K-12 or higher education construction is a plus.
  • Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods, including GC/CM and Design-Build.
  • Experience managing projects valued between $1 million and $5 million.
