Superintendent – Special Projects (Healthcare)
Location: Spokane, WA
Salary: $105,000–$175,000 DOE
A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent – Special Projects to join its growing team in Spokane, Washington. This is a high-priority opportunity for a construction professional with a strong background in healthcare renovations and small projects within occupied hospital and medical environments.
This role is ideal for a superintendent who thrives in fast-paced, client-focused environments and has experience delivering complex projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, and daily field operations.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Maintain strong communication with owners, project managers, design teams, and trade partners.
- Oversee multiple healthcare special projects ranging from $1M–$5M.
Qualifications
- High school diploma with completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent construction experience.
- 5–10 years of journeyman-level craft experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial General Construction Superintendent.
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects independently.
- Healthcare construction experience is strongly preferred, particularly projects in occupied hospitals or medical facilities.
- Experience in K-12 or higher education construction is a plus.
- Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods, including GC/CM and Design-Build.
- Experience managing projects valued between $1 million and $5 million.
