Superintendent – Commercial & Multifamily Construction

Location: Boise, ID
Compensation: $115,000–$155,000 Base Salary (DOE) + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Overview 

Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up and tenant improvement commercial and multifamily construction projects throughout the Boise market. This is an opportunity for a hands-on construction leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values quality craftsmanship, and is committed to delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate has extensive field leadership experience managing commercial, mixed-use, multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or office projects and enjoys mentoring teams while building strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from project startup through final turnover.
  • Develop and maintain the master construction schedule, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to meet milestones.
  • Enforce company safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant jobsite.
  • Conduct daily planning meetings with subcontractors to ensure productivity and schedule adherence.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control throughout each phase of construction.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to identify and resolve field issues proactively.
  • Partner closely with the Project Manager to manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and project risks.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates.
  • Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Mentor assistant superintendents and field personnel while promoting a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial and/or multifamily construction.
  • Experience managing projects valued between $10M and $75M+ preferred.
  • Proven success delivering ground-up commercial or multifamily developments.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, and construction means and methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling software is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $115,000–$155,000, depending on experience
