Salary Range: 125-175K base

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multifamily residential construction projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a proven track record of delivering ground-up and/or major renovation multifamily developments on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Lead project planning meetings and coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee contract administration, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA safety standards, and company quality requirements.
  • Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to executive leadership and clients.
  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
  • Manage project documentation and maintain accurate project records.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, inspectors, and municipal agencies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4–8+ years of project management experience in commercial or multifamily construction.
  • Experience managing ground-up multifamily projects valued at $20M+.
  • Strong understanding of California building codes and construction practices.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or other sustainability certifications.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Design-build project experience.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing or mixed-use developments.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $125,000 – $175,000 annually, depending on experience
