Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role is ideal for a construction professional who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, clients, and project teams in a fast-paced environment.
The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction, estimating handoff, and procurement through closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
Coordinate architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teams.
Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
Track project costs, commitments, billing, and overall financial performance.
Lead regular project meetings and communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
Identify potential project issues and develop solutions before they impact cost or schedule.
Negotiate and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships.
Monitor construction progress and coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure project milestones are met.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and represent the company professionally throughout the project.
Oversee project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and turnover documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and company standards.
3+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, scheduling, and cost management.
Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency with construction project management and scheduling software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
